CareSync Privacy Policy

Overview CareSync ("the app") is a personal care coordination tool developed to help patients, families, and caregivers organize medical appointments and care information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how your information is used.

Information We Collect CareSync stores the following information that you choose to enter:

Names and nicknames of app users

Medical appointment details including dates, times, locations, and reasons for visits

Medication names, dosages, frequencies, and prescribing doctors

Questions asked during medical appointments and doctor responses

Appointment notes and summaries

Care Circle member information

We do not collect any information automatically. We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising tools of any kind.

How Your Information Is Stored All information you enter in CareSync is stored in two places:

On your device using local storage

In your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit service

We do not operate our own servers. Your data is stored entirely within Apple's infrastructure and is subject to Apple's privacy policy at apple.com/privacy.

How Your Information Is Shared Information is only shared with people you personally invite to join your Care Circle. You control who has access and at what permission level. We never share your information with third parties, advertisers, or any other parties.

When you invite others to join your Care Circle, appointment and care information is synced to their devices through iCloud. Only people you personally invite can access your Care Circle data.

Important Disclaimer CareSync is not a HIPAA compliant application and should not be used to store official medical records or protected health information (PHI). CareSync is a personal coordination tool intended for family and caregiver use only. Users are responsible for the information they choose to enter and share within the app.

Limitation of Liability

CareSync and its developers are not responsible or liable for:

Any medical decisions made based on information stored or shared within the app

The accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of information entered by users

Any loss, damage, or harm resulting from the use or inability to use the app

Any unauthorized access to your data resulting from circumstances beyond our control

Any information shared between Care Circle members within the app

Errors or omissions in appointment details, medication information, or any other user-entered content

Users are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information they enter into CareSync. The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

CareSync is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the guidance of qualified healthcare providers with any questions you may have regarding medical conditions or treatments. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you have read or recorded in this app.

Children's Privacy CareSync is not directed at children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Data Deletion You can delete all of your data at any time from within the app by going to Settings and selecting "Delete All Circle Data." Deleting the app from your device will also remove locally stored data. Data stored in iCloud can be managed through your iPhone's iCloud settings.

Changes to This Policy We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
